Walker Moore - Lead Organizer

Walker Moore returns to Dallas Area Interfaith with 15 years of organizing experience, including five years as lead organizer of COPS/Metro Alliance -- the founding organization of the West/Southwest Industrial Areas Foundation.  By focusing on leadership development, the organizations he works with promote change around workforce development, education, housing, immigration, healthcare, and safety.  Recent accomplishments include creating a $300 Million workforce development fund, the nation's largest municipally funded workforce development strategy and increasing San Antonio's owner-occupied housing fund from $1.5 Million to $6.2 Million.

Prior to his time with the Industrial Areas Foundation, Walker organized with religious congregations in Waco, Texas for five years in addition to obtaining a B.A. in Biblical Languages from Oklahoma Baptist University, a M.Div. from George W. Truett Theological Seminary, and a M.S.W. from Baylor University. Walker is married to Tasha Moore with whom he has three daughters: Ava (13), Adaline (11), and McKenna (9).

Cameron Conner - Organizer

Cameron Conner is a community organizer with Dallas Area Interfaith. He comes to this work with a background in neighborhood organizing and international development. Originally from Eastern Washington, Cameron has worked under the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in northern Greece and is a co-founder of the Conscious Connections Foundation (CCF) – a non-profit dedicated to supporting community-led primary healthcare, disaster relief, and K-12 education for girls in remote areas of Nepal.  In 2019, he led the development, implementation, and day-to-day operations of the City of Walla Walla’s Neighborhood Engagement Program, an initiative actively helping neighborhoods organize and carry out local change.
